Podcast

To create my final product, I went to CNN to look up the current events. On their sports page, I saw a big graphic about the Ray Rice Situation, and decided that would be a great topic to do my podcast on. From there, I simply talked about the situation, and gave the most important and relevant information to my audience. I think that my product was professional, and would have been accepted by my boss.

I think that she should air this because it is professional, and well done. In addition, it supplies precise and to the point news that any sports fan will find interesting. I don't think this is a process for me in the future, because I don't see myself working at a radio station, or working with computers

Sound Blog

Sound can travel in waves. Sound is measured in frequency in Hertz. I learned that people like to build rooms that have a somewhat awkward shape so that sound doesn't reflect back and "cross itself". The today show video was about how people are  losing hearing at a very fast rate, which is scary. It also went over Jim's story and how he overcame his hearing loss.

This does make me think about my sound exposure. I don't want to be 45 years old and deaf. I am curious to see what the long term effects are of using headphones everyday. I might limit my time using headphones and listening to loud music
